BOB's Tuesday Toast - 10/7/14

Here’s to "lucky" days -

May we all have one every once in a while - ;))

===

If you read my blog yesterday -

You know that I was NOT looking forward to the day -

And my appointment with the orthopedic surgeon -

About my knee - ;((

BUT -

I am a VERY lucky lady - ;))

The chip was in the middle -

And the tears have healed nicely -

SOOOO -

My knee is stable -

And NO surgery is required -

YAY!! - ;))

I really like my doctors -

But I don't like my doctor appointments - ;((

They scare me -

For some reason -

But then again - it's probably just me - ;))

I haven't been reading blogs (lots going on) but really glad to hear you don't have to have surgery. I've already been told I need a total knee replacement of the left knee and I told my ortho that it wasn't going to happen until I was in 'constant' pain....
Hope you recover quickly from the injury..

Thanks, Katie - I was SO relieved!! - I smashed it in January - so it has healed already - and apparently it has healed quite nicely - Whew!! - It gets a bit sore now and then if I'm on it too much - but not "constantly" - so that's good - ;))

Sorry to hear about your knee - a total knee replacement doesn't sound like fun - but you might feel a whole lot better after you have it done and get past the physical therapy part - just my opinion - I could be wrong - ;))

I am so happy for you. The good news is always, "No surgery needed!" Take care.

Glad you got good news. You are NOT the only one who hates going to the doctor! It is a good thing you got a doctor that isn't surgery-happy. My husband was going to one for his foot who wanted him in the hospital for at least three months. I kept telling him to get another opinion, and luckily he did. (I can't imagine what life would have been like had he had to leave his computer for more than a weekend)
Knees tend to complain from time to time once they have had a bit of damage ... even when healed. Take care!

Thanks, Julie - I have known this particular doctor for a LONG time and trust him implicitly but I was NOT looking forward to the appointment - and was truly surprised with the outcome. I had envisioned months of physical therapy - and basically just lucked out. My knee can complain all it wants - I have plenty of ice - haha - ;))

Hi there! Remember me? lol Boy oh boy I know how you feel about those appointments. But really glad you got some good news this time.

oh I remember when you messed it up months ago. Woohoo for avoiding surgery if not the attendant discomfort that you must still be experiencing or why go to the doctor(s)?

Hi there! - Yeah, I remember you! - How are you doing?? - Will email you - and thanks - it was VERY good news this time - ;))

Thanks, Linda - there really is no attendant discomfort but I did want an x-ray done because I was curious as to what damage I had done to it - if any. Then when it came back with "irregularities" - the doctor suggested an MRI - and then when that came back as "abnormal" - I just had to find out what I had done and how badly I had done it. It gets sore sometimes - but probably because I'm up and down on it too much - and it's as old as I am - haha - ;))
